Unhealthy Enviroment
In the world every country consumes many products in daily life such as plastic and stuffs but managing in waste are different Technic and ways. In Myanmar, Taunggyi township’s municipal provide the project to the private companies for manage the city garbage and every morning they have to collect the waste form the community and send it to the waste land with garbage truck. In the waste land, there have several workers from different companies, for them they have no safety facility in dangerous environment for their health.
The waste land located in mountain area, not much far away from community. They used three mountains for trash place.
The workers have to spent for all day to collect the things from garbage and categorize the trash like plastic bottoms and glass bottoms, make these things into money.
She is tow year old girl; she lives with her family in the waste land, family member collects the things as a business. Her family could not take care her hygiene, so, she used to dirty.
After collected the things, they have to burn other garbage, the smoke covers their house and places. The plastic wastes burned produce dioxin and furn. It can cause coughing, shortness of breath and dizziness, in long term it can cause cancer
She stays in waste land when she was a baby because her Mom did this business since she was in her mother belly. She said “I afraid to go in town down, more comfortable in waste land”. She can resist the diseases from trash without cover.
Daw Hla Thin, 51; in the work place she faced the difficult with flies because she could not effort to buy mask and glove. Moreover, she has to touch the food waste with worm and it make her sick and she used to get fever because of smell. She said “I am 51-year-old lady but I can still work, I will never beg for money”
There have a lot of flies and rats because of food waste, the garbage from city are mixing with plastic and old foods. In the raining season in the waste land have full of flies.
